Items of special interest include a copy of the excommunication warning issued to ten Catholics, including Mrs. B.J. Gaillot, Jr., Jackson G. Ricau, and Leander H. Perez, Sr.; a confidential report from the Southern Field Service to the Directors of the National Catholic Conference for Interracial Justice dated 1962; and an address delivered by Henry Cabirac, Jr. in Lafayette before the 42nd Annual Convention of the Knights of Peter Claver in 1962. Albert Sidney Foley was born in 1912, and died at the age of 78 in 1990 at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama.
